The Deschutes River is the most popular river in Oregon. Over 80,000 people raft the river each year, and there is a very good reason why. It's beautiful, scenic, relaxing, exciting, adventurous, accessible, and certainly family friendly. Experience isn't necessary with our professionally trained staff. Anyone from 6 to 106 can enjoy the excitement and scenery that the Deschutes has to offer. All you need is the desire to have fun and Imperial will provide the rest!

While choosing a rafting company can be difficult, we make it quite easy. We provide the safest trip on the Deschutes River by award-winning guides while offering the best facilities and conveniences of any company…period. When you choose to go whitewater rafting with Imperial River Company, you choose to go first class. From our private put-ins and lunches to our photographers, we give you an experience you'll remember for a lifetime!

Imperial makes it easy. Less hassles, less stress, more enjoyment! Meet your friendly certified guide, listen to our informative safety speech, jump in your raft, and whitewater here you come! After your trip, take a few moments to unwind, relax and share stories with others who have braved fun rapids and spotted wildlife. Stop by our Photo Shop to check-out photos of you blasting through rapids like Boxcar, and Wapinitia. We have many options for trips listed below which run April through October.

While every other company and private boater will be navigating the river during “rush hour traffic”, Imperial's All Day Exclusive Trip is different. We have our own “on-ramp” that no one else can use. So, no more bumper boats on the Deschutes with people you don't know. No more “taking a number” and waiting in line for the rapids. No more stories about “mythical” glimpses of wildlife. You'll get first crack at everything the Deschutes River has to offer, because when you go on this trip, it's FIRST CLASS all the way.

Guests of IRC will begin their river adventure from the front lawn of Imperial. You will be one of the first on the river and therefore have opportunities to view bald eagles, golden eagles, osprey, otters, deer, kingfishers, and much more. Float through rapids such as AC/DC, Surf City , Oak Springs, and the Elevators until we take out at Sandy Beach . We will portage around Sherar's Falls (click here to view virtual tour) and start our second leg of the journey at Buck Hollow . While many agree that this is the most scenic section of the trip, others prefer the rapids that so few get to see such as Wake-Up, Lower Tressel , and Wreck Rapids. We'll take out at Pine Tree and go back to the lodge for a wonderful riverside lunch including grilled chicken, fresh Imperial Ranch beef hamburgers, and more.

Take a few minutes to relax and soak in the sun. Or, play volleyball on our sand volleyball court…but don't forget! We still have 5 more miles of some of the best rapids that the Deschutes has to offer. That's right…Wapinitia, Devil's Hole, Boxcar, and Rodeo rapids are among a few of the rapids to round out the day. The adventure will end right back where we started, on the front lawn of IRC where you can look at photos and share the enjoyment and excitement of the day. Hands down, this is the best trip on the river!

Check in 10:00 AM or 1:00 PM , Trip Length 3.5 hours
Sunday - Friday: Adult/Child: $75
Saturday: Adult/Child: $88

(At this price on the weekends, we call it the “Saturday Sucks Trip.” Harpham Flat is so busy on Saturday mornings that we prefer to avoid it all together.  You can pay the $88 if you want, but why not step up to our 18-mile adventure that includes lunch and take advantage of our private put-in in Maupin?  That is one of the beauties of the 18-miler. You get the river all to yourself).

When you are ready for the most relaxed whitewater voyage on the Deschutes River you want to take our three day trip. Included at the beginning of this trip is a night in a river view room at the lodge. This great trip is much like the two day voyage except for a couple of things. The put in is at Warm Springs, and you get to camp two nights on the river on your way to Maupin. Taking an extra day slows the pace of the trip and allows more time to soak up the beautiful canyon, and take some side hikes. You get all of the same river, just eight extra miles, and more time to enjoy it.
